What about confidentiality? Will the information I give you be kept private?

Keeping your information private and confidential is very important to us. We work hard to ensure that your privacy is maintained at all times.

If you consent to participate in one of our research studies, your personal information will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law and will not be released without your written permission. In all study forms, you will be identified only by your initials and an ID number. Your name will never be used in any publication that might result from the analysis of a research study.

Our staff will answer all your questions about your privacy when you contact us or come in for a screening visit.

Will I be paid for my participation in one of your research studies?
All volunteers in our clinical trials are reimbursed for their travel to the clinic. Some studies provide additional compensation for your time.

Will it cost me anything to be in a research study?
The laboratory work for all of our studies is provided at no cost to you. The majority of our studies provide medications at no cost as to you well. For a small number of our studies, the cost of the medications may be charged to your insurance company. If you do not have insurance, our staff will work with you to obtain coverage to pay for the medications if necessary.
