Current ongoing studies include:

National Institutes of Health, for the
identification and treatment of people with recent HIV infection. People who are found to have a recent infection are
offered enrollment in the Primary HIV Infection Study
, which offers free treatment options as well as research options for people who do not want
treatment/medications.
- The NYU Long-term Nonprogressors Study: A
collaboration of research programs to learn about the immune systems of HIV-positive people.
- The Prevention Cohort Study is a
long-term study for HIV negative, at-risk individuals to receive ongoing HIV testing and risk reduction
counseling. There are no medications used in this study.
- The Merck 023 HIV Vaccine Study is
a Phase II proof of concept study of an experimental
vaccine that may one day prevent HIV infection or keep people who do become HIV-infected healthier. You cannot get
HIV infection or AIDS by receiving this vaccine.
- The Merck 027 HIV Vaccine Study is
a Phase IIa dose refinement study. The purpose of the
study is to compare different dosages of the Merck Adenovirus Serotype 5 HIV-1 gag/pol/nef vaccine. This vaccine is
also being tested in the Merck 023 study.
