Syphilis

Bacteria that causes a painless sore (chancre) on your mouth, genitals or rectum (butt). Without treatment, other parts of the body may become infected.

What are the symptoms? A few weeks after exposure, a sore will form on your mouth, genitals or butt. Later a rash, swollen glands and fever may develop (secondary syphilis) after the chancre is healed.

How is it treated? Antibiotics

How do I lower my risk? Use a condom for oral, anal and vaginal sex. Avoid contact with any open sores.
